Privacy Policy
For Slideshow AI: the app, useslideshowai.com and our emails. Effective September 29, 2026.
- We collect what Slideshow AI needs to work: your email to sign you in, the product photos and details you give us, the slideshows we make from them, your plan, and basic app and error data.
- To make your slides, your photos and product details are sent to the AI companies that run the models. We don't use your content to train AI models.
- We don't sell your personal information, we don't show ads, and we don't track you across other apps or websites. Our websites use no cookies.
- A creator profile, if you make one, is public: anyone can see it, and other apps can copy it.
- You can delete your account, with its photos and slideshows, in the app at any time, or ask us for a copy of your data at info@scrollworks.ai.
1. Who we are
Slideshow AI is made and run by SCROLLWORKS LLC, a Florida limited liability company ("Scrollworks", "we", "us"). We are responsible for your personal information under this policy. It covers the Slideshow AI app, the Slideshow AI website at useslideshowai.com, this website, and the emails we send. Our Terms of Service cover how you may use Slideshow AI. While our App Store developer account moves to the company, the App Store may list the app under the name of our founder, Josh Matteson; Scrollworks is responsible for the app and your data either way.

2. What we collect

We don't collect your contacts, your precise location, your advertising ID or your browsing history, and we don't use cookies on our websites. The sign-up page at useslideshowai.com keeps the email you entered in your browser for that tab only, to show it on the welcome page, and keeps your sign-in in memory until you close the page.
3. What stays on your phone
- Photos you pick are re-saved on your phone before they are sent, which removes their location and camera details.
- Reading a listing screenshot. The app reads the product's name and description from your screenshots on your phone, with the phone's own text recognition. The screenshots themselves are uploaded like any product photo.
- Your profile's secret key is made and kept on your phone. Face ID, if you use it to show that key, is checked by your phone; we never receive face data.
- Permissions. The app asks for your photos (to pick product photos and save slides) and your camera (to take a product photo). You can turn these off in your phone's settings.
4. How we use it
- To run Slideshow AI: sign you in, make, show, change and save your slideshows, show your profile if you make one, and give you what your plan includes.
- To process purchases, keep your plan current and answer billing questions.
- To keep the service safe and fair: limit abuse and shared logins, and investigate problems.
- To fix bugs and improve Slideshow AI, using usage events, error reports and your feedback. When you send "How did we do?" feedback or ask for a slideshow back, a member of our team looks at that slideshow, its photos and your words.
- To answer your messages and send the emails in section 9.
- To meet legal duties, and to enforce our terms.
Only a small number of people at Scrollworks can see account details, and only to run the service.
5. AI models and your content
Slideshow AI makes your slides with AI models run by other companies. We send them what each step needs, and only that:
- Planning the slideshow and its text: your product photos and screenshots, the product name and description, your style photo if you give one, and, for a redo, your note. This goes to Anthropic's Claude models.
- Drawing the slides: your product photos and the plan for each slide. This goes to Meta's Muse Image model and, when that fails or for Enhanced slides, OpenAI's GPT Image model.
- Fixing part of a slide: the slide, the area you marked and your words. The words are checked by an Anthropic model first; the edit goes to Muse Image, or if that fails to Ideogram's or Bria's editing model.
These models are reached through fal, which runs them, and for text through fal's connection to OpenRouter, which passes each request to the model's maker. We ask fal not to store requests or results, and the link to each slide it makes expires within an hour. Each of these companies processes your content to answer our request, under its own terms.
We don't use your photos, text or slides to train AI models, and we don't sell or license them to anyone who does.
6. Who we share it with
We share personal information only with these, and only for the reasons given:
- Amazon Web Services hosts our service and stores your data in the United States (Ohio): our database, your photos and slides, your profile picture, sign-in (Amazon Cognito, which also sends your sign-in codes) and our email sending (Amazon SES).
- The AI model companies in section 5: fal, OpenRouter, Anthropic, Meta, OpenAI, Ideogram and Bria.
- Apple, for plans bought in the App Store, and Stripe and Link, for plans bought on the web by card (section 8).
- Servers we run ourselves outside AWS, in the United States: our profile server (relay.scrollworks.ai) and our bitcoin checkout (btcpay.scrollworks.ai).
- Public profile servers run by others, which receive your public profile if you make one (section 7).
- Porkbun, which hosts our info@scrollworks.ai inbox.
- For legal reasons: when the law, a court or a valid legal request requires it, or to protect the rights, safety or property of you, other people or us.
- If the business changes hands: if Scrollworks or Slideshow AI is merged, sold or reorganised, your information may pass to the new owner, who must keep this policy's promises for it or tell you first.
We don't share your data with TikTok. When you share or post slides from the app, you send them yourself, through your phone.
7. Your public profile
You can make a creator profile in the app. Everything in it is public: your username, display name, bio, profile picture, TikTok link, your address username@scrollworks.ai, and your profile's public key. Nothing is made public until you save a profile.
- Profiles run on an open network (Nostr). The app publishes your profile to our own server, relay.scrollworks.ai, and to public servers run by others (today relay.primal.net, relay.damus.io, relay.ditto.pub, purplepag.es, user.kindpag.es and indexer.coracle.social). Anyone can read them, and other apps can show and copy your profile.
- Your profile picture is stored and served by us. We re-make it as a square image with all its file details (such as location) removed.
- Anyone can look up your username@scrollworks.ai address on scrollworks.ai to find your profile's public key. It stops working when your account is closed or deleted.
- Recovery. So you can get your profile back on a new phone, the app stores a copy of your profile's secret key with us, encrypted with a key that only a recent sign-in to your account can unlock. We never use it to post as you. You can turn Recovery off in the app, which deletes our copy.
- Deleting. When you delete your account, we delete your picture, your Recovery copy and your username@scrollworks.ai address, and your profile can no longer publish to our server. If the app made your profile's key and you haven't taken your profile to another app, the app also asks the servers above, ours included, to delete your profile. Otherwise, write to us and we will delete it from our server. We can't force servers we don't run to delete it, and anyone who already copied it may keep it. If you took your profile to another app, it stays yours there.
8. Payments
- App Store. Apple handles the purchase and payment under Apple's privacy policy. Apple sends us a signed record of the purchase (its IDs, the plan and dates) and tells us when it renews, fails, is refunded or ends. We never see your payment details.
- On the web by card. Stripe runs the checkout, and Link, Stripe's checkout, is the seller of record. We give Stripe your email and account number; you give it your payment details and billing address, which go to Stripe and Link, not to us, under Stripe's privacy policy. We keep Stripe's customer and subscription IDs, your plan and its dates, and a record of Stripe's notices.
- With bitcoin. Our own BTCPay checkout receives the plan, its price, and your account number and an order number, never your email. It records the payment: the dollar price, the amount of bitcoin, the time and how it was paid. Lightning payments pass through Second, the company that runs the Ark server our wallet uses. Payments on the Bitcoin network are public by nature. To refund a bitcoin payment we need an address you give us.
9. Emails we send
- Sign-in codes, sent by Amazon Cognito for us, each time you sign in.
- Account and plan notices: for example about a price change, a change to our terms, a problem with your account, or, for a plan paid with bitcoin, a reminder a week before it ends and when it ends. These aren't marketing, so they have no unsubscribe link.
- One email about plans: after your free slideshow, if you have no plan, we may send one email about our plans, once. It has a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us at info@scrollworks.ai. We send no other promotional email.
Our emails have no tracking pixels and no tracked links: we don't know whether you open them or tap their links.
10. No selling, no ads, no tracking
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for targeted advertising. Slideshow AI shows no ads, has no advertising or analytics companies' code in it, and doesn't track you across other companies' apps or websites. Our usage events and error reports go only to our own servers. Because we don't sell or share personal information that way, there is nothing to opt out of; if that ever changes, we will update this policy first and give you a way to opt out.
11. How long we keep it

Apple, Stripe and Link keep their own records of your purchases under their own policies.
12. Deleting your data
In the app, open the Account tab and tap Delete my account and photos. This can't be undone. It deletes your sign-in, your photos, your slideshows and slides, your profile picture and Recovery copy, your usage events and error reports, your plan and purchase records, and your safety records, and asks the profile servers to delete your public profile (section 7).
- A plan bought on the web by card is cancelled at once, without a refund for the rest of the month. A plan paid with bitcoin ends.
- A plan bought in the App Store is Apple's: deleting your account doesn't cancel it, so cancel it in your Apple account's subscriptions too.
- What is kept afterwards is listed in section 11: bitcoin and Stripe records without your account number, the Recovery security record, service logs and backups until they expire, and one count that an account was deleted.
You can also email info@scrollworks.ai from your account's email address to ask us to delete your data.
13. Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we have about you, and give you a copy of it;
- correct information that is wrong;
- delete your information (or do it yourself in the app); and
- stop any sale, sharing for targeted advertising or profiling, which we don't do anyway.
Depending on where you live, state privacy laws (such as California's, Colorado's, Connecticut's and Virginia's) may give you these rights by law, with the right to appeal our answer; we offer them to everyone. Write to info@scrollworks.ai from your account's email address (or tell us which account it is about, so we can check it's you). An authorised agent can ask for you with your written permission. We answer within 45 days. If we turn down a request, you can appeal by replying to our answer, and if you are unhappy with the appeal you can contact your state's attorney general. We will never treat you differently for using these rights.
We don't use your information to make decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects.
14. Security
Your data travels encrypted (HTTPS), and our database and file storage on AWS are encrypted. Photos and slides are stored privately and shown only through links that expire. Recovery copies of profile keys are encrypted with a key that only your recent sign-in can use: our own staff can't read them without changing our security settings, and such a change is recorded. Access to our systems is limited to the people who run them. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your personal information, we will tell you as the law requires.
15. Where your data is
Slideshow AI is offered in the United States, and we store your data in the United States. Some of the companies in section 6 may process it in other countries under their own terms, and public profile servers run by others can be anywhere.
16. Children
Slideshow AI is for creators and is not directed to children. You must be at least 13 to use it, and a plan must be bought by an adult (see our Terms). We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13; if we learn we have, we delete it. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, write to info@scrollworks.ai.
17. Changes
If this policy changes, we will post the new version here with its effective date. If a change is significant, we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. We won't use information we already have in a significantly different way without telling you first, and asking where the law requires.
